JOIN US TO SUPPORT LAYLINE TO LA28
Thank you for your support of Layline to LA28!
The course to LA28 will be sailed by athletes. It must be powered by community. Unlike many nations, American sailing athletes receive no government funding for their Olympic campaigns. Success depends on private philanthropy, community support and people willing to invest in excellence before the world is watching. Together, we can help provide the resources that allow these athletes to compete at their highest level.
The Sailing Foundation of NY (SFNY) is our partner to facilitate our Layline to LA28 Campaign because of their readily available, no-cost fundraising infrastructure and their existing partnership with America One Racing (A1R). Your donation will be directed to A1R through SFNY. 100% of your contribution will go directly to benefit A1R athletes. The SFNY is a longtime supporter of America One Racing and all it’s initiatives. Layline to LA28 is grateful for the support of the SFNY.
The Sailing Foundation of NY (SFNY) is a 501(c)3 organization rated as a four-star charity on Charity Navigator. SFNY’s EIN Number is 13-7308006. Donations to SFNY are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. All donors will receive a tax letter from SFNY documenting their contribution.
Our athletes thank you for your support!

Absolutely, directed/restricted gifts are commonplace with the SFNY for specific athletes or campaigns active with the SFNY. The SFNY takes donor intent extremely seriously. A donor may restrict their donation to any athlete or organization with an SFNY account at the time of donation.
Here’s what’s important to note: if a donor makes a directed/restricted gift to an athlete or organization that does not have an SFNY account, those funds are held in Unrestricted until the athlete or organization applies for an SFNY account. It is not guaranteed that an account will be accepted specifically because of a donation. If the athlete or organization does not apply for an SFNY account, or is rejected, the donation will remain in Unrestricted. We appreciate your understanding that donations cannot be refunded. -
Project Podium is managed exclusively by America One Racing. Athletes are evaluated and selected under the leadership of Paul Cayard, Bill Ruh and Leandro Spina.
